DECEMBER 2011:

dumplin.JPG

My name is Dumplin'. I am a terrier mix and I love treats, digging, and exploring. The world is a stage and I am the audience! I think everything that goes on is for my personal benefit and requires investigation by me.

My humans are Buddy and Sharon Berry. I came to my forever home in October, 2011 from the City of Arlington Animal Shelter. My humans were very happy to get me because they lost their dog, Boo, while on vacation in Pennsylvania and this made them very sad. So, I rescued them when they rescued me and we are all happy to have each other I am so proud of my humans! I am training them and they learn something new every day!

My humans and I love everyone at the Animal Health Care Center! They are all so nice and they have been so great in helping me to get completely healthy. I am so proud and grateful to be the Pet of the Month!

Hi! My name is Dexter! I am a young male Pit Bull who was rescued off of the streets. I am very handsome (and I know it). I am also very friendly and love to give hugs and kisses! I was neutered and treated for heartworms recently. I am so excited to now have a home with humans that love and take care of me!

This is Angie. Angie was on the list to be euthanized at a local shelter because she wasn't interactive enough. One of the local rescue society's saved her. Turns out, she is just petrified of everything but once she knows you and comes out of her shell, she is the sweetest dog! She has heartworms and is here undergoing treatment to get rid of them. After that she'll be ready for her forever home! We are so blessed and excited to meet Angie and be a part of making her someone's amazing life-long friend.

 MARCH/APRIL 2012

Meet Nala. Nala is very near and dear to our hearts. Nala is 8 years old and as her mom puts it best, "She's always been such a happy dog and so full of hope." Nala has been a patient of ours for a long time but a few months ago she started having very strange symptoms. She was referred to a veterinary neurologist where she was diagnosed with encephalitis and hospitalized. Nala is now back at home and although not quite 100% yet, she's doing great!
